Dreamroot is a Jazz/Soul group from Durham, NC. Dreamroot consists of Theous Jones on drums, Ittai Korman on bass, Joe MacPhail on keys, Lynn Grissett on trumpet and saxophone. Dreamroot’s 2020 release Phases has been described as “Representing one of the distinctive strains of the Durham jazz scene, melding R&B forms with Jazz solos that all fit nicely into the length of a longish pop song” by Indy Week Magazine. Live, Dreamroot is known for their engaging and spirited improvisations. Dreamroot is set to release their next album, a self-produced work blending classic Jazz with Hip Hop, Atmospheric and World music influences.
